Wave currently offers five campaign types. Choose the type whose timing matches the job you need the campaign to perform.
Campaign messages can also use email templates. See Use Email in Wave Campaigns for the desktop/browser workflow using Drip as the interface example. Choose the campaign type for timing, then choose the content channel for each message.

| Campaign type | How its timing works | Good starting use |
|---|---|---|
| Anniversary | Sends one message each year using a selected anniversary field, such as Birthday. | Birthday or customer anniversary greeting |
| Drip | Sends multiple messages based on a day delay and time after the contact joins. | Onboarding or post-purchase follow-up |
| Countdown | Sends messages a set number of days before the campaign end date and time. | Event reminders or a launch countdown |
| Calendar | Sends messages on specific dates and times. | A planned series with fixed dates |
| Repeating | Sends the same message on a repeating schedule. | Recurring reminders |
Create the Campaign Shell
- Open Campaigns.
- Select New Campaign.
- Enter a clear campaign name.
- Review the Sender Number. Business SMS requires the appropriate carrier-approved number; confirm email account requirements separately before sending email.
- Choose the campaign type.
- Complete the extra timing field shown for that type.
- Select Create.
The new campaign still needs at least one message and an audience before it can run. The Add contacts control can remain unavailable until a message has been created.
Manage an Existing Campaign
From the Campaigns list you can:
- enable or disable the campaign
- edit its settings
- duplicate it
- delete it
For text-message testing, use Fast Forward when Wave makes it available. Confirm email testing behavior with Phound Support before applying the text procedure to email. Keep a new campaign disabled until the sender, messages, timing, audience, and channel-specific reply behavior have been reviewed.
For the most common multi-message workflow, continue with Build a Drip Campaign.
